This book has been written out of a sincere desire to help us understand what the Bible teaches about marriage, divorce, salvation and its consequences for individuals and the possibility of reception into local churches. Alternative views are examined, and conclusions reached which are both faithful to the character of God and compassionate towards the needs of all involved. These two things are not mutually exclusive. We are shown that the many complicated lifestyles in present day society are not beyond the grace of God to change and provide for those who have passed through these difficult circumstances as guided by the Scriptures.
