John Riddle's latest commentary is a very substantial volume on the somewhat neglected book of Proverbs. After a helpful introduction to the whole book, Mr Riddle provides a detailed exposition of the 31 chapters. Passages are carefully divided into sections and sub-sections. There are numerous references to verses elsewhere in Scripture. Other commentators are frequently quoted. As the subject of Proverbs is wisdom for daily life, this commentary is immensely practical.
