31 Days of Prayer

Prayer helps. It calms the spirit and relieves our anxiety. It allows us to commune with the God who created us, with our father in heaven. Over the past year, many of us must have wondered what is happening, what will become of us. At times of great crisis, it is common for people to turn to God in prayer. But what should we pray? Repent is a word out of fashion. It conjures up images of preachers shouting of hell-fire and brimstone. Yet when you read the bible, a very different message can be seen. Underneath and behind every call to repentance is God’s love, God’s desire that we be reunited with him, his determination that we not be lost, but find life, and experience this life and the next to the full. That we experience the kingdom of heaven, here on earth, and prepare for the next life with our father God. 31 Days of Prayer is a challenge. To study what God's word says about repentance, about the kingdom of heaven, then to turn daily to God in prayer. Will you accept the challenge?
